We began the Progressive Language Institute with one thought in mind: to create a place where students of all ages, cultural and professional backgrounds could learn Spanish the same way they have learned their first language through their daily life activities.

We believe, we have succeeded in creating a stimulating and friendly teaching environment that facilitates the learning of the Spanish language.

Our Mission

The Progressive Language Institute (PLI) is a multicultural language organization founded in August, 1998 by Victoria Palacio.

Our core philosophy is to enable children and adult students (regardless of age) to communicate in Spanish in order to respond effectively in this rapidly changing, high-tech global economy.

We’re committed to the principle of “Global Education”. That’s why we give our young and adult students the skills and significant tools that will empower them to become multiculturally competent.

Language skills are a required tool to compete and succeed in the 21st century. That’s why our main goal is to assure that students develop their second or third language knowledge through the expansion and enhancement of culturally sensitive and culturally relevant language programs within the U.S. society.
